EvoScan Virtual Dyno |
Updated: 5th February 2012 - EvoScan v2.9.0017 Virtual Dyno The Virtual Dyno comes for free with EvoScan v2.9 Virtual Dyno's are used to calculate the Power and Torque of your vehicle under acceleration. A few considerations for virtual road dynos • Virtual Dynos use smart formulas and calculations to take into account Air resistance as you accelerate faster, • These virtual dynos use how fast your RPM is accelerating over TIME (you only need about 5 rpm samples per second to get a very good dyno graph, any more samples/second is not really adding any more accuracy, so you might as well log all sorts of other things like knock, air/fuel ratio, and timing) • Virtual Dynos calculate your speed by working out the wheel rotation • Best runs are done in 3rd gear on the road. 4th gear is also ok, but the speeds get too high (only recommended for closed Roads/Drag Strip) • EvoScan v2.7.0070 or Higher Datalogs are now stored in C:\Users\Hamish\Documents\EvoScan v2.7\SavedDataLogs\ {replace Hamish with your logged in user} (or look in My Documents if you are still running WinXP/Vista) • EvoScan v2.7.0069 or Lower datalogs are stored in c:\program files\evoscan\evoscan v2.7\SavedDataLogs\ • EvoScan v2.8 or Higher Datalogs are now stored in C:\Users\Hamish\Documents\EvoScan v2.8\SavedDataLogs\ {replace Hamish with your logged in user} (or look in My Documents if you are still running WinXP/Vista) • EvoScan v2.9 or Higher Datalogs are now stored in C:\Users\Hamish\Documents\EvoScan v2.9\SavedDataLogs\ {replace Hamish with your logged in user} (or look in My Documents if you are still running WinXP/Vista) |
