Reflashing your 2004-2006 Mitsubishi Outlander MH8202F ECU

Outlander was a unique mitsubishi anniversary edition from 2004-2006.
This webpage does not apply to Mitsubishi Airtrek, because the Airtrek has an Evo8 ecu.

• In MMCFlash select "MH8202F [512K] k-Line"


Wiring the openport 2.0 cable directly to the ECU for use with MMCFlash

Read ROM:
step1. plug in openport 2.0 cable.
step2. plug in mmcflash usb dongle
step3. select "MH8202F[512K]"
step4. press Read

Flash ROM:
step1. plug in openport 2.0 cable.
step2. plug in mmcflash usb dongle
step3. select "MH8202F[512K]"
step4. open rom file.
step5. press checksum if button is not greyed (this edits the checksum in memory only, not the file on disk)
step6. press Write, to update the Vehicle ECU (Ensure full battery, or on a battery charger) k-line reflash is recoverable (restartable) anyway after bricked.
